Become a Mental Health Champion
This one day course (delivered over two days virtually) is most suitable for staff interested in contributing to a mentally healthy workplace through developing understanding and culture change. It equips staff with skills and knowledge to look after their own mental health and to respond to others who are experiencing mental health issues or emotional distress.
While there is a focus on workplace mental health and wellbeing on this course, participants will also be able to use the knowledge and skills in their communities outside work.
Many workplaces choose to train staff as mental health champions across all areas of their organisation so that there are advocates for a mentally healthy workplace throughout all aspects of workplace culture, policies, procedures and initiatives. Workplaces also often choose to train line managers and supervisors as mental health champions.
This course will give your staff:
An understanding of common mental health issues
Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
Ability to spot signs of mental ill health
Skills to support good mental health and wellbeing
