I held a variety of management and leadership positions during my 25 years in the UK University sector, ranging from operational management of services through to strategic leadership roles. This background in management and leadership enables me to bring a grounded understanding of the demands on managers, leaders and other staff, into my consultancy work.
My qualifications from the Tavistock Clinic and Tavistock Institute heavily inform my consultancy style, which emphasises creating emotionally containing spaces where it feels possible to engage in rigorous thinking, work with potentially difficult material and test out possibilities.
In addition to my substantial experience of delivering training courses, my 25 year career working in, managing and leading mental health and wellbeing services for students in the university sector makes me a confident and credible mental health and suicide prevention trainer.
